Dairy free and Gluten free pizza night October 14, 2006

Melody and I made pizza last night and it was yummy. We bought gluten free (tapioca) flour and soy cheese, and spent some time at the market buying vegetables and some nice spicy salami. It was fun and we ended up making a huge pizza. The wonderful find was the tapioca flour, as Melody can have this and the pizza base tasted like it was made from normal flour. It’s opened up all sorts of possibilities that we can make – even homemade bread!

We hired a couple of DVD’s and watched “V for Vendetta” (Melody hadn’t seen it) and this morning we watched “Memoirs of a Geisha” (I hadn’t seen it).

This afternoon we spent with Loscha and Michelle, and they gave us a tour of Footscray. I had been there before but never to the markets or Little Saigon. We bought some yummy foods to make a stir fry, some seafood rolls and a roast dinner for tomorrow night. We both had a great time, finishing up having tea at Michelle’s place.

All in all, a lovely evening and a lovely day.

-April.
