Melody,

Today marks three months since that chilly Melbourne day back in July when you touched down here and made physical the wonderful connection we could only express over IRC and webcams.

As we sat on the couch before and I held you in my arms, I felt the most wonderful sense of completeness I have ever felt. It’s like when I hold you, the rest of the world ceases to exist for me. Nothing else matters as I gaze into your eyes.

Your smile keeps me going when I am tired or when its a long day at work. Even to hear your voice is the most wonderful gift. As I work each day, its okay because I know I am working towards our future… one that I never thought was possible before I met you. I know I cry sometimes… It’s only because I remember how I used to be before. These are tears of happiness I shed now.

I want to cherish, you, my wife… I want to make you that happiest woman on the face of the planet… Tend your every need, grow old with you. You are my future. One day we will find that quite place and settle down, adopt children and raise them. Any child would be blessed to have you as their mother, as I am doubly blessed to be your wife.

In three short months, that plane will carry us home. I feel like I’ve been waiting for this my whole life. Everything built towards this moment, this wonderful sense of completeness and fulfillment you create within me.

You are my all, my angel, my guiding light…

Here’s to the next three months and beyond!

Your wife,

April.
