Tapdancer is a project to create a tool for rendering audio streams from digital representations of computer data tapes. Many old computer systems (Commodore, Tandy, Timex Sinclair, Amstrad CPC for example), stored programs on tape. Many of these have been preserved online, however recreating the original audio for use with an original system can be a tricky process.
Tapdancer currently supports Commodore emulator TAP files, however more support will be added over time for other formats as well.

If you have a commodore 64, you may find it useful… 🙂
